Exfoliation Query

Hi All. I'm just experimenting at the moment with some new spray tan solutions. One of my clients agreed to be a guinea pig and exfoliated just before the tan, which she usually doesn't do. The tan obviously got into her pores and left dots on her arms. I was under the impression that it was OK to exfoliate just before a tan but am getting conflicting messages with different suppliers. Any advice appreciated.

Also, I am hoping to get some business with prom nights coming up and wondered if there was any risk of colour guide coming off on dresses if you spray say a couple of days before. Unfortunately I'm not confident enough to use a spray without colour guide as I don't have a mass of experience.

I ask clients to exfoliate the night before their tan is applied, never encountered any problems.

Also, for proms/wedding etc, I advise that the tan is applied 2 days before the event. So if the prom/wedding was on a saturday I would apply the tan on the thursday evening
