Hi

I'm currently on the essential nails acyrlic course, I'm getting complaints about the smell :green:. Could anyone tell me is there an extractor fan I can get? so I can resume a happy houshold.

Thanks

babe i got a simple extractor fan from b&q and fitted that to an external wall !

quite noisy so i only put on at the end of each day (i have a purex desk with built in extraction for when im working / buffing) - works a treat though - one of my friends could smell it at the front of the house (i work at the back) after putting it on for a couple of days prior to him coming to fit some extra power points for me - he couldnt smell a thing and he was working in the salon for me !

When you are working put some nail plate cleanser onto a lint free wipe and use this to wipe your brush on,
use a metal lidded bin and put things into it as you work,
both these tricks will cut down the smell hun,
opening a window wont work too much as the chemicals that go into the air are heavier than air so fall to ground level,
sorry i cant recommend a fan as i don't use one, but never create much of a smell either

I've been looking around for something like this and found this link Fume extraction, Dust extraction, Ventilation for the beauty salon environment. It's not the cheapest but from what I can see, it covers all the health and safety requirements. I needed something I could take out on the road and this looks perfect. Also fits to any existing desk etc so you don't need to waste money replacing furniture you already have!
