Eyelash Extension practise do you use the mannequin ?

Hi All

I have recently taken my Hollywood lashes course and I have friends and family booked in to practise on. My question is do any of you use the mannequin that you can attach lashes too for extra practise ? it's not a lot of money and I am thinking about getting one

Hi,I must admit after my training the idea of practising on my first guinea pig terrified me but i hadn't got time to wait for a head to be delivered, so i looked in charity shops for an old doll to no avail so in the end i resorted to sticking some false strip lashes to an apple cut in half. It worked a treat.(i was practising at home and not in the salon though) hth

I would say it very much depends how you were trained. If you were trained on a mannequin head and have never done a set on a person then it might be best to start slowly but if you have been trained to apply the extensions to lashes with the trainer there then you should be fine doing the same on your models at home?
At some point you will have to make the transition anyway if you want to apply lashes to clients and if you have a steady hand and got the knowledge and the technique which you would/should have learned in your training course then you should be fine!
