Hi everyone,
My query is that i have been doing ELTints for at least 8 years professionally & for the first time yesterday i was completely baffled. My client has recently lost a considerable amount of weight via gastric band surgery, now im convinced it must be her medication as to why it is just her that it is not taking to. she reckons its coz shes a natual red head, as in the past tints do not take to her & i have used various brands, just for her as none seem to take!!!
Could any of you fellow geeks know if red hair is more resistant to tints? or possibly recommend what i should do.....
as client also wishes for me to contact her old therapist and ask what brand she used...but shes a bit "off" with me coz her client came to me!

yes, redheads usually need the tint to be left on for a tad longer. As does white hair. Is your client sure it isn't something she is doing at home? Maybe she has changed her eyemakeup remover to an oily based one or does she slather her face in moisturiser before visiting accidentily covering her lashes?

Sometimes clients don't realise that things like that can prevent a tint from taking.

HTH

Thanks babe, i tend to leave it a little bit longer, and to be fair shes the only redhead that it hasnt worked on...its just so annoying!! im such a perfectionist that i wanna make sure that i can do everything possible for her.... i have advised her to check her medication as this could be a contra but honestly im baffled!! yikes!!

I'm sure I read a tip to put on a layer of the hydrogen peroxide for a minute before you put the mixed tint on as it opens up the cuticle.
