Hi, I've just sculpted a nail using Staying Alive for the free edge but it's taken quite a long time to set :irked: the nail bed colour was fine (Hot Stuff), my hands are quite cold but then wouldn't the pink have taken ages too?
Could I have worked the Staying Alive too wet??

Thanks

Hi, funnily enough i did mine own nails this morning and noticed they took longer to set, i think for me its because it was quite cold in my room this morning till i put the heater on then it wasnt too bad once it had warmed up in there.
It could be that maybe it was a tad too wet and with it being soo cold here now:irked: it took that much longer set.
If youve not had any problems before i would say its more likely to be down to it being cold ...i know some people use a hot water bottle to warm their hands up prior to application, which might help.

I havnt had any probs with stayling alive setting slower than any of the others but maybe theres someone else that might have a better idea than me to as why .

staying alivei s based in A polymer truly white so it should set the same, altho different ratios and temperature may like Hazel said have caused it to take slightly longer

Well the 3 of us all agree ....as I also think it must have been a temperature problem, as I find Staying Alive just has the same set time as Truly white.
I know up here in Scotland it is a cold Autumn day lol! Time to put up the heating brrrrrrr

I think it was prob cos my hands were so coooooold as I did the rest a bit later when they were warm and it didn't take as long :)

Thanks
