As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm nearly through with my C&G NVQ II and I'm looking to do my fibreglass/silk full set assessment next week. I have had no problems with the full set, except for the whitish area in a previous post, but this has since been rectified.
Last week I had a fibreglass set put on by an NVQ III technician to pass her assessment and I also used it as an opportunity to watch and see how she did. This was on the Wednesday and by the Saturday I was starting to get lifting around the eponychium which I could just pick away.
Is there a way to stop this? I used cuticle oil and moisturiser, but dred to think my clients at college go through exactly the same thing with the lifting. Do you have to buff with a fine grit file to smooth out the resin at the cuticle as someone mentioned this at college.
She did use NSI Nail Pure Plus when prepping the nail, is this a good dehydrator to help avoid lifting?
I would show you a picture but I forgot to take one and have since removed them due to a lot of lifting from me playing with them, and now I'm dealing with the after effects of enthusiastic shine removal!
All help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
