Hi I just did a full set using french tips and gel. I capped the FE and sides and cured every 2 fingers and thumb alone. But as i was shaping the nails, the client told me that she thinks they are too long so I had to file them a bit, all the capping when off. DO you think they will lift from free edge?? since I didn t do NNO but extentions maybe the chance of lifting is less?? what you all think, I very stressed!! since I m at the beggenning and cannot afford mistakes. please help

thanks

i don' t think you will have a problem
most problems are in my experience with gel and overlays

If you always file the free edge with your file at a 45º to the free edge, you will find that the nail is always capped. There is always a bit of product that is ahead of the tip or natural nail.

I don't think you will have a problem. Clients file the cap off their nails all the time.

When I used to have my nails done (gels), I would file them often in between infills and I found that as long as I went over the nail and free edge with a new layer of top coat they never lifted.

Hope this helps

Thanks to all, she just sms me and told me that tomorrow she will come again to make them shorter since she has a baby and she s not comfortable with them however she s very happy and liked them alot. So i will shorten them and keep the file angled 45.

Thanks alot this is a great site, its helping me alot and i m feeling more confident!!!!!!:)
