Thanks for answering i checked out the sites you gave me and noticed they should be warmed before cutting so gave it a go.Big difference,so much easier. I found i could only cut a few slices before they cooled again so had a few warming together and rotated them.I just had them in my hand to warm x

I must admit Wendy, I warm my canes in my hands before using them. Once you get used to it, you can cut a fair few slices per warming cycle lol

I get the packs of styles ( eg liquorice allsorts and fruit ) and have the pack under my leg on the chair while I slice one - keeps them toastie to take a cane at a time out :)

Hi,
you can also get these on ebay for really cheap direct from hong kong.
i have bought some and waiting for them top arrive though im sorry i did now because i have bought the canes rather than sliced:grr:
have a look anyway they do some really nice ones!!!!
Xx

I brought a massive bulk of these from auction site... think there was about 250 canes lol I need to master slicing them!

I find that some of the canes from eBay are more difficult toslice - whether it is made from a cheaper product than the professional artist canes I don't know. They generally need a wee bit more heating before slicing and need to be reheated more regular.

I cheat and cut all of mine into slices as soon as they arrive and put them in little tubs - 20 of each or as near to saves time if I have a brainwave and want to use them asap :)
