finsih it ! gel topcoat

hi all

jst got my lamp today so i an apply this onto my l&p nail right ? to make it super shiny !
but if cliet wants a colour polish could i apply this on top of finshed gellled nail ? the top coat as normal then if client remvoves polish inbetween appointments se will still be left with a super shiny nail ?
have i got this right ? arghhhh
