have just had a text from a client who nails i did On 23rd and not sure what to do. have had no problems with nails for months now so suprised to get this text. i did her and her sister both with l and p she had purple acrylic on tips and her sister had pink acrylic on her tips. she text asking if her nails had only been weekend nails as they had all come off. so i asked How they had come off and whether her sisters were alright. she said her sisters were all still great but hers went weak when she was washing dishes and washing her hair. i have said i can go and look at them On wednesday but what should i do? should i be offering to do them for free? and if i do them again i am concerned the same thing will happen again! though i have no idea why it would happen in the 1st place! especially as her sisters are fine! help!

Don't you dare offer her a free set there is no way they just fell off themselves and the fact that her sister still has hers and they are perfect is the proof.
Enhancements never just pop of they need a bit of help normally from the client!

Don't worry about this Hun you have proof your enhancements last so don't let one client dent your confidence

Don't offer to do anything for free until you have seen the nails & then decide what to do if anything.

Enhancements do not go 'weak' in any kind of water. She probably had one too many and broke some and pulled off the rest.

Look at her nails .. determine the damage ... Say you are sorry that she had a bad experience but that all your nails are the same material and water does not affect them. You'll be happy to redo them but it will be the normal full set cost. You need to stand firm on this issue with clients .. she picked the wrong excuse .. it couldn't happen ... you know it couldn't and so does she. I'm sure her sister has done all the same things with her enhancements along with all your other clients.

You're too experienced to fall for this one surely.

I'm one of a kinda person who extremely has tons of cuticles. When I have my nails done for normal set, if they're not been well prepared by me, myself and make sure that my nail plate are very dried before, they would have been peeled off.

I had that problem when I did the dish washing with hot water without wearing gloves and of course, I used to wash my hair with hot water after that dishing. The result were like what you said, if that client soak her hand under hot water and her secret cuticle will be so moistured and then nails will be easily to pick off.

So I won't let them dry without cuticle oil and i normally prevent by wearing gloves and do my hair washing quickly so my nails won't be soaked in hot water that long.

Don't offer her free full set, perhaps some 50% of in-filled price to prove that your nails will be last long for a good after care condition because
it's not your fault but just she didn't take care of her nails very well though she might not know she has cuticle problems.
