Hi everyone

I was just wondering how busy you all are with your mobile tanning.

I'm very quiet at the moment and not sure if it is because of the weather or the fact that a new person has just started up on my estate offering Fake Bake for £6 cheaper than what I am charging for my solutions.

I have been doing special offers on Friday but still not really had a great response.

Would love to know how everyone is doing.

Thanks

Jackie ;)

£6 cheaper? what do you charge? reguardless that's a heck of alot cheaper. gosh. have you tried one of the tans? seen a tan on somebody that has had one? if so, what do you think? could you maybe offer some loyalty type scheme if you don't already? or refer a friend type thing to get some more peole interested?
x

I have been busy the last couple of weeks saying that though this week is a little quiter.

£6 is a lot cheaper may be you could offer loyalty cards I always find that keeps them coming back and the spray tan partys are always popular.

hth good luck.

Hi Ladies

I charge £24 which is pretty cheap for my area as some of my clients have paid up to £40 for a tan. She is doing Fake Bake for £18 and that's mobile. I don't rate Fake Bake but it's got a good name and people like that.

I do offer a loyalty scheme and I also offer discounts for 2+ bookings and parties which is what I have always done.

I had a great week for Royal Ascot but the last two weeks I have only done around 5 to 10 tans which is quiet for me...

Yeah fake bake and st tropez gets them every time.

If I had a pound for every time I have been asked if I offer those products I could be on a exotic island right now !! lol

Once I explain about tantrick and what it has to offer they try it and love it but I do no what you mean they see them advertised everywhere and automatically want it.

Yeah, that is so true. I may have to write something up on my Facebook page and website without sounding to biased but now the new Organice tantrick solution has just come out, I am hoping this will go in my favour as it is absolutely lovely and makes your skin feel really soft...

£40 for a tan?? omg! wow. i personally think that st tropez and fake bake are so yesteryear and pretty chavvy so didn't even bother to find out about them :\ i love that sienna is just for professionals and as they say haven't 'sold out' - though who knows what the future will bring? hope things start getting busier again for you soon! x

Personally I would think the weather has a lot to do with it. Brits are not known to be the most sun and skin health conscious of people and while the sun is out, burn they shall.

These hot spells never seem to last so I wouldnt worr and in the mean time I would push your advertising that the spray tan is the safer option. Remind people of the damage that tanning can do.

I am busier than I have been lately, did go a little quiet a couple of months back, I think prom and wedding season has helped a lot at the moment for me :D

well we have some folk doing tans for £7.50!!!! it makes me sick! lol god knows what they are using, prices seem to vary so much here for that joke of a price up to £35. I am using a premium tan that costs alot to buy so am charging £20, I think its targeting the right market but folks up here can be tight as a nats backside! lol xx

Its so dishearting I think they are devaluing spray tanning! saw a girl I used to work with at the wknd she had had a tan done for £7.50 too in kdy near the ice rink but she did say it wore off really badly, and was slightly orangy, but she has skin that tans easily I'd have had a shout from willy wonka to get back to the factory I've I had it ha ha xx

lol think i know the shop she got it from seen it advertised lol it will be classic tan probs or coco bay..yes i seen 2 of my neighbours last week think they had been there for the same one eek they should have came to me atleast they would have been golden brown lol x

Thanks everyone. I think I need to do some advertising. I live in quite a well off area and think that I'm most probably quiet partly due to the weather and the amount of competition there is around me especially when they undercut you by so much..

I have even been holding tanning parties at my house at the price of £18 per person and it hasn't been successful.
