Hi all, I need some advice please...
I'm busy practising p+w rebalance on myself ready for my assessment and can see a problem now I've finished:irked: (I'm using NSI L+p btw)
Where I've replaced the smile, if you look closely you can still see where the old smile was, as it's a 'brighter' white. It's like where I've replaced the smile with white, it's more transparent and you can see the old smile further down. Hope that makes sense!
I am thinning down the original zone 1 by about half the thickness-is this enough? Or am I just putting on the new product too thinly? Or could it be something else I haven't thought of?
Replies much appreciated:)

Hiya,

My guess is you are not reducing your zone one enough, and you are replacing your zone 1 smile too thinly.
When I rebalance, I file down zone 1 and remove the old smile line to a great extent. That way, when you replace your new whites, you will not see it.
If you are worried about applying a too thick zone 1 on the rebalance, just look down the barrel of the nail, when you think you've finished the filing before starting on replacing the product. You'll be surprised as to how much you have not removed tbh.
Try to get your finished nail roughly the thickness of a credit card on the free edge, this will let you see how much you have to reduce it by.

Thank you for your reply Bev, I guessed this was the problem, but having never done it before, I was unsure as to how much I should thin it by. At least I'll know for next time!
Thanks again-x.
