Hello im on a downer !
I had a client with no lifting at all hooray !! but i have had a client who broke 3 of them (did them last friday) and a nail biter that has lifting after a few days! they are both friends so i can keep my eye on them, im thinking maybe i made the broke set too thin i built up the apex they looked fab when id finished and she says they still look really good but i can't help but panick. The nail biter (done last sunday)had very short neglected nails all the tips are still very much intact but have started to lift im pretty sure i touched the skin onone nail as vocalised with her hand but im sure i didn't with the others
i thiught i had preped really well to . do you think that maybe as they were so bad i might have left cuticle on the surface, i use creative c.remover

Also what can i do should i redo the whole set or tackle the lifted areas???
Advice from you veterans please im losing heart fast !!!

Hi hun

first of all STOP PANICKING!!

Hello im on a downer !
I had a client with no lifting at all hooray !! well there you go that is something to be very very proud of

but i have had a client who broke 3 of them so how do you know they werent legitimate breaks from her being heavy handed? (did them last friday) and a nail biter that has lifting after a few days nail biters are interesting they tend to nibble and deny it or not even realise they are doing it! they are both friends so i can keep my eye on them, im thinking maybe i made the broke set too thin i built up the apex maybe but then you will know for next time they looked fab when id finished and she says they still look really good but i can't help but panick DON'T I have clients who come back to me after a month with not ONE nail broken but another who cant go two weeks without losing a few - its not all down to you hun, its how they are treated and you are NOT responsible for this once they have left the salon. The nail biter (done last sunday)had very short neglected nails all the tips are still very much intact but have started to lift im pretty sure i touched the skin onone nail as vocalised with her hand tell her to sit flamin still! LOL but im sure i didn't with the others
i thiught i had preped really well to . do you think that maybe as they were so bad i might have left cuticle on the surface, i use creative c.remover make sure you either remove this with citrusoak or get them to wash their hands throughly with soap and water

Also what can i do should i redo the whole set or tackle the lifted areas??? do what you think you should do, dealing with the lifting will give some practice too
Advice from you veterans please im losing heart fast !!!

Hi Lissa

I would love to help but i am a newbie myself. Don't be down, from what I've read it happens to most of us at some point or another when first starting. You will get great advice and help here! It can't be worse then my nightmare last week.

Keep at it!
