I have a regular client that has problems keeping shellac or gelish on her thumbs in particular. Today we cured the thumbs separately to make sure they were flat in lamp and getting a proper cure. I was extra vigilant removing cuticle and dehydrating nail plate. Hoping this will solve issue but any advice much appreciated x

Could be using them to open clasps on jewellery, cans etc.
I had a client who repeatedly returned for the gel to be repaired on her thumbs until a mutual friend and colleague pointed out she was chewing them at work!

My thumbs always go first. As Ciderella said, I use them to open things, pick at things etc.

If I was one of my clients however, I would be reminding myself that we do not use our nails as tools!
