Does anyone use gerards skincare? Im interested in maybe getting it in or possibly another skincare brand but also want to do chocolate treatments. Can anyone give me any good advice or opinions please. Thanks

Nicki, I am with Gerard's. Ask away.

I do a helluva lot with chocolate in my salon, using different ranges so as Ann says, ask away. What do you want to specifically know?

How much is opening order, whats the company like, do the products retail well, have many clients heard about the companay, is training expensive

Phew thats it off the top of my head

I used Gerards for a while, I found that the chocolate was good if the client loves chocolate, as the smell is quite strong and sickly and it can also be very messy. I also offered the honey massage which was amazing but again very messy. But both treatments left my clients skin feeling amazing. I did not however like the facial products as much. I didn't find that they stirred up enough interest in my clients to make them want to purchse retail. I never really got many comments. Not a lot of my clients had heard of them tbh. I have since moved onto another skincare range. But as I say the chocolate and honey masssages/facials got great results.

That is just my personal opinion and I in no way want to slate a decent brand, everybody is different thats all. :D

i was just looking at the gerards website... do they only supply to spas? and how much would you need to spend to start providing their treatments? i currently use ahava for facials but am looking to expand and do body treatments too.
thanks

No they don't just supply spas, I'm a one woman show and I am supplied by them. I do
prescriptive facial
chocolate facial
soy soy facial
glycolic facial
glycolic and white facial
chocolate body
shea bliss
welcome foot
green tea abdomen
seaweed cellulite
mother to be
dead sea salt scrub

I've also just done some more training and offer
kevala
wave
bamboo massage
collagen eye

I find the prescriptive facials, collagen eye, shea bliss and green tea abdomen are my most popular treatments.

The retail products are lovely and the supporting posters, etc are very spa like.

the staff are very friendly and helpful and Lucy the trainer is lovely and very helpful and good with advice.

You don't have to take as many of these ranges on. they are now supplied through Ellisons but you have to set up a separate account.

You are using Eve taylor at the minute aren't you? Are you not happy with them anymore or just fancy trying something different?

Im finding it's not selling and not many clients are interested in it at all

I have had my samples through yesterday and was just on the phone to them. They say that they only supply to salons and spas but if you are mobile or home based they will supply to you but you have to go to them in Coventry for 2 days of training. The minimum spend is £1000 or 4 treatments. xxx
