I have created mt own leaflets on my laptop and just print them out on coloured paper, i have had a quite a few calls from them. Also create a group on facebook if you have it?? x

hi, i would say get some leaflets done and you can take advantage of this weather and get out delivering them. vistaprint do some great deals where you just pay for postage. maybe on your leaflets you could put 'special offer on production of this leaflet' etc - maybe 25% off treatments and then hopefully you'll get them as a client and they'll rebook etc etc. also do you have local schools, church groups etc. they have raffle's which are always looking for vouchers for a free treatment, this way you'll get a new client aswell as getting your name out there at the evenings/events etc. another option is to offer discounts to local businesses for them to display your info and tell their own clients about you. HTH x

Agree with doing the leaflet drop....always brings in somebody! Go into any shops you can and ask if you can stick a leaflet up or leave some business cards. It is hard to wait, but once you get some clients, word of mouth is always the best xx

Building a business takes time, effort, great customer service and thinking outside the box, finding your point of difference and making sure your nail enhancements have little/no service breakdown. Since it has been a while since you have done nails you may find benefit in doing an upskill workshop, you come away with new ideas and renewed enthusiasm.
Concentrate on your own business and row your own boat, do not get all hung up on the competition otherwise you will sink.
As an idea - one I used when we moved into a new town
Offer a 2 for 1 deal - ie 2 full sets of nails for the price of 1, make sure that the first client pays the full price and the friend then gets it for free, they can sort out the money between them. I did this rather than discount my full set price, it worked out for me that I was doing a full set for the price of a rebalance. It got the clients in the door (some where just a one off and wanted the cheap nails, however others booked and continued with rebalances) after which word of mouth took over.

Hiya

Have you ever heard of Netmums?? Its a website for mums and they have every area on there so you can choose the one where you live and advertise for free on there. I advertise for my husband being a plasterer and I get some ppl ring, alot of mums read it every day.

Also maybe try doing a offer of maybe 10-15 a set for a week or so and see if you can get a few ppl book in, best way in word of mouth i think.

hi , one of the best and free ways to get your name out there is to contact as many local groups as you can as you are hitting a group instead of an individual, try and find out , any slimming clubs, health clubs, and always get it on your bebo if you have one,and when you do start to get contacts get their email addresses so you can do a group mail now and then to keep you in their minds. cheers,

oh and bye the way, get a good website and get your name on google maps its free, and it works.

Advertsing on Gum Tree is also another one and its free.

Type in google 'beauty therapist' or something similar followed by the 'area' you live in. See what comes up in the search feed and see how they got themselves onto the top listings, I don't know much about search engines but I did the same thing and put myself on many free listings that came up with my competitors details.
