Hi
I've recently done a Professional Make up diploma at The Beauty Academy after about 23 years of first wanting to be a make up artist. I'm currently upgrading to the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry.
I work full-time in a totally unrelated industry and want to make the transition slowly maybe even never doing it full time but doing it evenings and weekends. I'm also looking into doing LVL and HD brows.
My questions are:
Many thanks
Helen
I've recently done a Professional Make up diploma at The Beauty Academy after about 23 years of first wanting to be a make up artist. I'm currently upgrading to the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make-Up Artistry.
I work full-time in a totally unrelated industry and want to make the transition slowly maybe even never doing it full time but doing it evenings and weekends. I'm also looking into doing LVL and HD brows.
My questions are:
- My spare bedroom is currently used as my BFs art room as it has a lino flooring (originally was my dressing room) he has offered to convert it to a make up room and get a massage table type thing so I could do lashes and brows. It's an upstairs bedroom in our home and we also have two cats. I've never been to a home salon so don't know if this is acceptable. But do you think it is?
- Do you think someone make a decent enough profit by doing brows and lashes in the evenings and weekends - bearing in mind this is to supplement income rather than would be my main income. Or should I add things like spray tans as well?
- Are there weekend jobs in salons that are purely for one or two treatments rather than a whole raft of beauty therapies?
Many thanks
Helen
