Hi, I am looking for a gel that can go over regular polish on artificial nails. I found a blog that someone suggested ibd clear. Works great on me, but on everyone else I tried it on, it just wrinkled withing 24hrs. I dont understand what im doing different. I have 18 years experience so im NOT new at this. What are other salons using that theirs are staying? Any suggestions other than "uv top coats" would be great. Thanks

Not sure I understand what you are looking for. Just a super shiny finish which saves you filing through the grits? or something else?
NSI do several different ones, there is their clear balance gel, two different gel top coats and they also do air shield which is a top coat varnish.
I've just been having a look at a dvd they sent me a while back.
No doubt CND have something in their gel range but I'm not a gel tech so.....
Hi, I am using a builder gel right now as the top, or at least trying, that is what the other blog and "other" nail salons are using, i have clients that went to other places in my area and that is what they said the brand was. IBD builder gel clear and it worked great for them. I tried different curing times, different polish drying times and different lights as well, different brushes, thinner and thicker applications. Im just fustrated at this point as to why they are getting wrinkled within 24hrs.
I have never heard of a gel that you can put on top of nailpolish. How would the polish dry??? You could use the new CND Shellac on top of a artificial nail fore colour, cure and then finish the nails with the Shellac Topcoat. You could also finish the artificial nail with a gel coat like the Young Nails Finish but not with a nail polish in between.

I think that star nails quattro can be used with nail polish.
