Hi again! I'm just starting up mobile buliding my client base, i currently rent a room in a hair salon but i just think the rent i pay would be better in my pocket. Do you think it's a better advantage than say renting a room in a hair/beauty salon? My hearts really set on going mobile now. I'm just nervous in taking the step really. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :) loving salon geek it's ace!!!!

Hi hun, I can only say from a mobile point of view, it's great because of low over heads so no extra expense when you have a quiet week. Also if you have no bookings you are not sitting around twiddling your thunbs, you can either get on with other stuff you need to do or work at home sorting out offers etc.
But it is harder and takes more time to bulid a client base as you dont have a shop window.
So you really have to get yourself out there advertising everywhere poss.
But I love it and it works really well for me.:)

Hi hun thanks for your reply, i will keep all your advice in mind. I'm picking up my leaflets in the morning but unsure about where to target first that will have maximum impact. Where did you start?

Hello,
im going to start a mobile buisness aswell. I have designed all my price lists and i am waiting to get them printed. Im charging really cheap prices, and hoping that will bring a lot of clients. Im going to give my price lists out to friends and family and hope that they will give out to their friends and family. I might possibly even flyer them on cars around where i live. Im not going to rent a room, im going to go to peoples houses! I find this way, the client doesnt have to worry about getting a babysitter, or having to go out with no make up on and wait for her nails to dry etc....
I do think renting a room is good also, but if you do not get any clients in 1 week, then that means your down money. where as if you dont get any clients by going to their houses, your not down money, you just havent earned any. But it is entirely up to your own preference, it is nice for people to get out of the house aswell!
I hope everything goes well for you!

hiya hun .... depends on how many leaflets you have made .... get a mum, fella sis freinds who ever can help and stich one on all parked cars in your area and then walk round posting them . Put them in shops stand in street handing them out it is hard work but mobile is not an easy start upworth it though:) xx
