hi every1 just wondering if they know if there is any funding available to help with short course e.g lashes etc as thee is so much i want to learn but have limited funds would be grateful if any1 can help xx:hug:

Hi
I think it depends very much on your circumstances. Some of the women that qualified at the same time as me got grants/funding from Business Link for both additional courses and help to buy products and equipment. It might be worth contacting them to see if you qualify.
Best of luck.

what about applying for an ILA ( indapendant learning account ) you can ge £200 to use towards courses that are registeres with the ILA hth x

I think ILA still runs in Scotland, but in England it ended about 2000 2001 ish. Double check, but i'm pretty sure its not still running, sorry! Try business link, as previously said. Also, once you've found a few courses you want to do, check with the learning provider themselves. They may be aware of funding available for you that you didn't know about, again, depending on your circumstances.
Also, if you are looking to train with a specific brand, check with them as to any packages that include free training with a minimum order maybe?
And, if you are wanting to do a couple of basic courses with a single training provider, see if there is a discount for multiple bookings paid together?
I know these aren't free course options, but, it gives you a start. Be very wary though of '3daynails' '7dayscompletebeautycourse' etc.... while i'm not saying that they are all bad, just check them out thoroughly before you commit.

Save the money for your lashes, and do that one service, and do it well, to start. The time you've took and the hard earned money you've saved up will make the training you take all the more sweeter :o) hth x x

Also hun, could you fill in your profile please? That will get you a lot more replies to your threads. It would be nice to see what training you've got so far x x

I tired the business link.. they are very helpful on advice on starting up etc.
there is a list of funding / grants on their website on your catchement area. but unfortuatley, i couldnt get anyfree funding... these grants are only interested in enviromental issues and research..
I did call the business link to see, but they agreed,, none for beauty... sometimes your local council will help.
Also if you are claiming jobseekers allowance.. they can give you funding of up to £300.

hth and good luck! x
