I would simply explain to the client that this situation is out of us control as it is. But that you cannot offer a refund as you had to purchase the hair and performed their service properly. You were not made aware of the medication with hair loss side effects, and her changing her mind after the service is done is not a reason to refund. We hairstylists are not Wal-Mart, you cannot return your purchase because you change your mind or have buyers remorse. We are service providers who are hired for our time. Offering to refit her at no charge in the future is very generous of you and she should be happy with that. She most likely will not turn into a long term client at this point anyway, keep the money you earned and deserve.
