Hi,

I was thinking about getting 'wefts' put in my hair... I don't know alot about them. Can anybody advise me about them, and where the best place is to buy them??

Thanks in advance

x :)

hi we do this form of extensions in our salon..

it involves plaiting the hair underneath and sewing the extensions in.

it can be put in using glue but doesnt last as long.

you can buy the weft hair from alot of ethnic shops but depending on what hair you get may not be good quality and they rarely sell anything like remy etc...
and if you dont know about hair they will tell you its quality when its not.

if someone is putting it in for you id probably let them get the hair..

They have alot of extensions on ebay for really good prices. The only problem when buying them online is not being able to match them with your hair color. I like the fusion ones.

Hi, as lennoib says if you don't know about hair then I agree let an expert who does know get it for you !...
( honestly this is excellent expert information )
and although it may look good on ebay and the prices are cheap !... you will probably end up with some nasty processed hair ,
virgin hair wefts do not come cheap , only cheap processed hair is cheap

we do and try and tell people till we are blue in the face lol
but...... lots of people don't take any notice of good hair bad hair advice and tend go ahead and buy it anyway just because it looks good ,

therefore people can get seriously ripped off as there is lots of horrible nasty processed hair out there that gets coated over with silicons to look silky shiny and good , and once this coating washes off it can matt up and tangle like animals fur balls
so therefore I would as lenniob advised go to a specialist hair extensionist who understands the differences between this hair
and can assist you more with choosing suitable hair  hth minky x

wefts can either be glued in, braided in or applyed using something called micro clips. of all of these i would recommend the glue as it is the one which will last the longest of all the options.

you can buy hair off the internet from companies which are based in the UK :)
Hair Extensions. Clip in Hair Extensions. Human Hair Extensions.

how is it possible the glueing of the weft last longer then sewing or microclips..

that is not right at all..

glueing the weft is a temporary form of extensions and last a few weeks before it starts to come off... :irked:

I absolutley agree. I know it's popular but I wouldn't ever recommend glueing wefts in! That's like telling someone to buy stick on nails?????
