Hi!! i am really wanting to get hair extensions!!

is there anyone on here from the yorkshire area that does them??? Im not wanting the sewn in ones though i dont think because ive heared that they hurt!!

what are the glued ones like????

xxxxxx

Hello
I wear pre bonded hair extensions, mine are keretin glue and I couldn't recommend them enough. The bonds are very small and not noticable also, as long as they fitted and removed professionally, there should be no damage to your own hair. Hope this helps.

Hey,
i wear 'clip in' extensions.. all the time. i cant even imagine my life without them (sad i know). they cost me around 60 pounds for the 18'' ones & the clips and as long as you look after them well washing them with baby shampoo and using heat protectors they last for ages! probs had mine a year and they still look great.

everyone always comments them - they look real! for saying my hair is very short from recently having it cut into a bob.. i easily have two hair styles for when i feel like a change every now and again. theres a few local shops around my area but im not sure about yours.. but im sure places on the net would come up if you searched on google? otherwise.. i know a great site.. i will try find the link and post it.

i also recommend bonded extensions... as long as they are done professionally and removed by professional... as they do damage your hair.

glue however, is a it of a pain... they can itch, can be hard to wash if you need to wear quite alot of layers like me (depending on your hair thickness etc). i usually end up pulling mine out when they are glued in as they irritate!! however clips are fab, can be used whenever... on a night out.. or everyday!!

good luck :)

i do sewn in ones and have clients with very thin hair and it doest hurt.

as with all; extensions only hurt or damage your hair depening on who puts it in..

ive heard and seen very bad put in bonded ones that look horrible but the i try to tell the clients its not the extensions its the extensionist.

as ive also heard stories the pre-bonded ones hurt but again its been done (dont do it myself but i know people that do )

different methods suit different people and their lifestyles
there is also micro rings which is getting quite popular also.

What brand of extensions do you wear? I am also looking for some extensions. I am looking for good quality ones that will last me a while.

Hi, ive tried many different types and now wear the taped ones they are brilliant as you can re use the hair and its not bulky on the head

I am soon to be trained in fitting extensions so i will be looking for some patient ginea pigs!!

If anyone knows of any goodor bad extension training centres please let me know...

Thank you Emma
(ps im in Essex)

If i were you I wouldn't get regular glue-in extensions.
I wear glue extensions and they're a pain in my ass.
Not to mention, if you're not EXTREMELY careful when taking them out, they can rip out your hair and leave bald spots.

My hair used to be super thick and pretty, now its thin and somewhat embarrassing. I can't leave my extensions out because its so embarrassing, and that only makes the problem worse.

My advice: Don't get them glued in.

i would be looking at the ring method especially a nano ring system but i would also get them done by a professional that can advise you on how to service them correctly

Are you promoting this nano ring?

Are you promoting this nano ring?
hi there my statment was an answer to her question on the glue ones:
1. i recommend the ring method.
2. i recommend a nano ring as it smaller and less detectable .
sorry if it sounded misleading in anyway.
so im recommending micro ring method
and to buy the smallest ring method if possible.
available now by many suppliers in many names.

Hi, I don't understand how this could happen.... as usually this problem would only ever occur if the person who is taking the extensions out is not a fully qualified experienced hair extensionist .... or perhaps needs a lot more practice experience ,

as any fully qualified experienced hair extensionist, no matter what method or system is used, would be professionally trained especially using removal systems to be EXTREMELY careful and would never rip or pull or leave any traction alopecia or any bald spots at all

I use the clear small microplus bonds from Balmain and I have never had any problems , even when I first started and placed them in lots of willing models ..... and that was many years ago , but Balmains training is exceedingly high and very thorough ,
especially for some people who have had them put in because they have chemically wrecked their hair
I always notice that when I use the Balmain microplus bonds the hair actually hair gets a good chance to grow thick again improving natural length too ,

dont worry minky i hear things like this all the time about any and every method of extensions and then it gets generalized (is that the right spelling lol) to the method of extensions and not the person who has applied them ...

the things ive heard people say
