Hi all.. New on here..
In our salon we do a lot of extensions, micro beads, nail tips, raccoon specialists...
At the moment our nail tip suppliers aren't very reliable and out of stock a lot, also I'm finding the quality of their hair has lessened greatly. (Pro salon hair for anyone who's worked with them).
I know raccoon do pre bonded but for the price they are, I really can't see women from South Wales paying that and us making much profit from it.

Currently doing some extensive googling looking for new suppliers but thought I'd ask here first for a genuine opinion and recommendation!

Hey and welcome :)) there is loads of threads on here about suppliers and preference (search bar-extensions). It is quite subsidised though, as one likes one but others have had bad experience etc.

I've found for budget range the majority of people are using tranform, studio58 and angel remy, but they are very good for hair. You may want to check them out and request a sample maybe ?

Are you still offering racoon as a luxury range ? X

We us Transform xtensions and they are based in Cardiff I think. The hair is 1g and really cheap for what it is. They also do a double drawn Russian 6a hair which is coming into stock this month.

I know virginhairlife.com has awesome extensions give them a try.

What does '6A' actually mean? I don't mean 'oh its a better quality than 4A' its just I though that the whole grading system was nonsense and I've never seen an actual explanation other than 6 is better than 5 and 5 is better than 4 - why? x

Justexts to be completely honest Im not 100% myself. I always thought it was somewhere along the lines of
grade a Chinese hair (most clip ins)
grade 2a Chinese remy
3a indian hair
4a indian remy
5a Brazilian
6a Russian/Spanish.

This is my own idea though. Just think they grade their hair based on how it feels/lasts and origin

The a or aaaa grading system means nothing, it's mainly used by suppliers from china on alibaba etc, one suppliers grade aaa is another suppliers aaaaaa+, i wouldn't go off those gradings alone, best to test the hair and how long it's lasts yourself : )

Thanks for replying all!
I really need to find a good, reliable company to work with long term, I best start getting on the phone!! :)

Racoon is an Indian/Chinese blend. Awful in my opinion. Ignore AA grading as it means nothing at all as suppliers grade themselves. There are plenty good suppliers just search through and you will see a few preferable ones ;-)
