Love all of these pics how did u learn hair up? When u did yr hairdressing courses? I ask as i dont have hairdressing qualifications but would love to get into doing hair for special ocaasions x

Mine was self taught, you only get the basics at college, French pleat, French plait, pin curls, finger waving (ergh) and curling with rollers.

You do need to have background knowledge as else you wouldn't know how to smooth the hair and what makes it drop Etc.... A lot of the styles I do I make up as I go along, people often bring pictures with different styles they like certain bits of, so you need to be quite creative. I totally love hair ups

Just started my first salon job & got begged by a client to help her with a hair up even tho I'm not as confident if I haven't planned it but she wanted breakfast at tiffanys do. My result attached. Was a bloody nightmare as she'd just had a blow dry in the salon a few doors down who wouldn't do the up do! And had the thickest hair lol!

Aw thanks! Doin some hair up training with a Lebanese stylist tomorrow, am excited as I love hair ups and love the big Arabic styles. 8 hours worth of it! Worth giving up my Sunday night for tho!
