My daughter has just done a trial for an apprenticeship. From what she said it had gone really well. The owner said she would ring. She didn’t ring on the day. We are on tenterhooks! How long is usual for a manager to get back after a trial or do they not ring if it’s bad news?

Salons are usually independent small businesses so there’s no way of us knowing how or when the salon owner will notify your daughter of the outcome.

I think it’s fairly likely that the salon owner will be trialling a few youngsters and will make a decision after that. Obviously, there’s no harm in your daughter phoning and asking for feedback just as you would with a normal job interview.
