Is anyone else using the Skinmate heated mitts? I''ve already had to return one pair because I was convinced they were overheating and the new pair seem to be the same. They just seem to get hotter and hotter and the client can't put their hand in. I only put them on the low setting, and now what I have to do is switch them on and then switch them off a few minutes before I need to put the clients hand in. The boots seem ok. Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this.

Thanks

Are you using towelled mitts inside?

Hi - no, just the plastic sleeves. I wondered if a small towel or towel mitt would help. Thanks

You definately need some mitts as they do get very hot.I use freezer bags for hands and cling film for feet then pop towelling mitts over each then place hands/feet inside the mitts/booties.They aren't really designed to be used without mitts as well.HTH

I have skin mate heated mitts and booties, my mitts do the same, i havn't noticed it on the booties though.

It doesn't happen all the time but on the odd occassion they all of a sudden get extremely hot that you can't touch them and have to turn them off and leave them for a good while.

Thanks guys. I'm glad it's not just me with the problem. I am def going to get some towelling mitts now. Thanks
