help!! Chemo and nails falling off

Ok, so heres the situation I have a student whos mom will be going through chemo. She was told that a side effect to the treatment is loosing her nails along with her hair. I have never heard of this as a side effect but can understand why it would be one.

My question is have any of you had clients with this as a issue and how did you go about helping or were you able to help with the inconvience.

Thank you in advance for any help I would like to find something to help my student to help her mom.
