Soz I meant when I do them on clients. I did my friend last week, she is a hairdresser so hands in water a lot and they came off within a week, I should of been clearer

your using star nails right ...?...I haven't ever used that brand but i am sure the application would be the same...

talk us through your prep and application and lets see what we can do. x

r u using l&P or gel....they recommend the gel for the hairdressers because its water resisted...!!

I agree that because she is in water you should use gel or a gel hibrid

I only use L&P and I have no problems with enhancements or NNO's coming off with the hairdressers whom I have done.

We need to look at your prep routine Rachel as Angie has asked.
Give us a rundown on your procedure & then application to please.

Just a thought....are you capping the free edge properly & not filing it away at the finishing stage??

:eek:i used to have this problem and it was beause i wasnt capping the free edge make sure when youve capped it you dont then file the nail as this will break the seal at the free edge.

A very common problem with NNO is that the enhancement is too thin at the free edge. Another tip is to take primer/bonder or whatever you use, at the end of the free edge. And at last, remember to file a little bit at the free edge before you put the enhancement on, although the client don't want you to make the nails shorter, if not, the gel will not adhere at the edge. Hmmm... did that make sense?
