Help Needed with Lifting of Acrylic Nails

Hiya Girls

I did some nails last week, it was my first proper client other than family and friends, I did them on thursday night and she sent me a message last night to say that the nails are starting to lift on the sides and edges?? Why would this be? I know I struggled a bit with doing the acrylic on thursday night as it was so hot that I was having probs with it drying to fast before i could get it all into shape but they looked ok when I had finished them.

Im not sure what to do now, I think I did all the nail prep correct..

Im worried now about doing another clients nails if this is gonna happen again?

Hi what system are you using, and how did you do your prep?? I find that working in the heat you have to adjust your mix ratio, and work that little bit wetter and quicker, just ensure that your not going to close to side walls and epinichium and leaving a small margin.

I have just started with CND and use there system, and so far no lifting done few rebalances on my clients and they have very minimal lifting, as very thourgh with prep. HTH,, cant think of anything else, let us know how you get on, Have you been back and seen the nails, maybe that would help, file them down and re do her zone 3 again, and go from there maybe.

Hi there, because of the heat you had problems. I think we all probably did last week! The nails may just be too thick or too close to the skin, this is something that will come with time and practice, lots of it. Having said that, last week was awful for all of us and you will find things easier now as you will have longer to work your product and thin it out before it sets off.

Use this as a lesson, work a bit wetter in the hot weather and you will get there!
