Help please with some acrylic questions!

Hi all,
Could anyone please show me their acrylics (bare) from all angles as I'm worried my shape is not right!!
I'm only recently qualified so am practicing on friends but I'm struggling with filing round the cuticle and am not sure mine are quite right!! How much filing do you do round the cuticle area? What should it look like?
Also I've only done a square nail shape so far and when Ive put shellac on them I struggled to get it to cover at the free edge where the nail is square at the front, should I be rounding these off at the front.
Appreciate any help anyone can give me with this. Thank you!!

OK here we go... I have a gap around the cuticle and then it's raised which just doesn't look right... help please x

Use less product in zone 3 and have your brush angled up at 45 degrees to create a tapered edge for minimal filing

Thank you! These look great, i just knew mine didn't look right and that they were too thick at the cuticle. will try this method and see how I get on x

Right so after a very unsuccessful set Friday which were way too thick at the free edge and cuticle I've been practicing on myself... here are some pics. These are just acrylics over my short natural nails, but can I have some critique on the shape from cuticle to free edge and also the thickness of the acrylic which I'm struggling with.... thank you! Xx
