Hey,guys
How do you make decision about buying scissor?
do u think brand is important? or what else will u take into considering?
what kind of price u think is reasonable?
Hi, I would need to hold them and for them to fit my fingers properly,
comfort is a priority, as I dont want RSI syndrome,
they must also be razor sharp and cut hair effortlessly
I would like to own a pair of Japanese scissors,
because these claim that have been made from tempered steel
which has been heated and folded many times over and then forged and shaped to make them strong and lasting just like the best Japanese swords
but for these you would pay a small fortune ,
I don't have a pair of japanes ones as yet , because I would hate to lose them or I would hate to drop them ,
I think £200 to £500 are reasonable for decent scissors
I go for the Joewell ones which cost around £150,
but some in the range of the Joewell ones can cost a lot more than that ,
I think these are fab scissors and they glide through the hair with ease ,
I would go up to around £500 to £700 for a really good pair of scissors ,
but only if they proved better than my Joewell ones,
I think if there was a way to test drive some of the more expensive scissors before buying them
then people would have more confidence to splash out with thier hard earned cash and buy them ,
I just get scared of paying £700 or more on expensive scissors
and then you use them in the salon to find that they dont really justify the expense paid out .
so until then its the Joewell range for me
hope that made sense
For me when I bought my massage table I bought the most expensive I could afford ... this is what my clients lie on for an hour or more and I want them to be comfortable.
The same could be said for scissors, get the best you can afford and make sure you hold them, feel them, move them around - these are a very sharp extension of your arm and should feel comfortable.
Mat
I just got some from Ebay - and no they are not a TOP brand but i they r super awesum:green:!! They are definitely worth the cash...
