help with footer

I would like to have a nice footer on the bottom of every page in my training manuals, but I just can't seem to find any in my system!

Can anyone suggest where to look for them.

I have windows vista basic, and it came with microsoft works.
I have got windows XP loaded onto it from a borrowed disc, but I can't use the frontpage, etc as its asking me to put in the appropriate disc to download it.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I wish I could help you, but Ive got to be honest I havent the foggiest what a footer is, so Id be bluffing giving you my help, and you dont want that now do you! Just imagine what it would look like?! :lol:
