Hello!
I have a problem...... I'm allergic to most nail polish ( I have to use 3/5/7 free so use Essie, zoya,Morgan Taylor) but more frustrating.....I am allergic to all gel polishes I have tried (gel fx, IBD, shellac, the Faby one, OPI)..... I have been doing research and it seems that the ingredient most people are allergic to is HEMA. Does anyone know of a UK based HEMA free gel polish I can try? I'm so fed up with not being able to join in the gel polish fun
TIA
Kirsty, frustrated in Hastings! X

Hi Kirsty, first of all I feel for you so much. I have allergies too, HEMA being one of the chemicals I react to.

Most ibd colours are HEMA free and so is Shellac so I would be surprised if its only HEMA you are reacting too. I have used these products and don't have any allergic reactions to them.
Gels and gel polish can cause a lot of issues with allergies and if you are like me it will be a matter of testing and trialing products before you find something that works for you, if at all. It can be a very expensive exercise.
You may be better off having some testing done to find out exactly what it is you are allergic to.

The Joss gel polish is sold in Australia by Beautyworld and they have also recently released a new gel polish they call Speed Gel Polish.
If you want to purchase I would email the team there and ask about overseas shipping as I am fairly sure they ship world wide.

They can be contacted here: http://www.beautyworld.com.au/form/contact-us/

Good luck and best wishes :)

Thank you so much for this reply! I currently work with shellac and have to wear gloves as I react! So maybe it is more than HEMA I've contacted beauty world and they have said they don't ship worldwide!
I've tried so many gel systems to no success! Maybe I accept that I just can't use gel polish? It's so frustrating! I want pretty nails that don't chip as soon as a do anything!
@Bel's Gels thank you though, very helpful and useful advice. Also nice to hear from someone that feels my frustration!
Kirsty xx
