I have been on her site watching her videos and granted she has been doing nails for about 25 yrs. but, is it really as easy as 1,2,3 side side middle? I love how it looks like you just brush it instead of pat, pat, push, move. I feel I am a brusher like she uses so I want to try but they do not have a sample :( . So was it pritty easy for you off the bat? Oh yeah and what brush of hers do you use the original or the flat? lastly do any of you use less than a 100 grit to etch the nail and have success? Thanks

Hi love,

I too have watched her videos and will not use her product because her technique directly opposes everything I have ever learned in this industry.

If you are required to use a 100 grit file to etch the nail - I wouldn't use the product.

If you are required to apply l&p while the primer is wet I would not use the product.

If you have to use the product that wet (in order to swipe it) I wouldn't use the product. Using l&p too wet leads to service breakdown and lifting. Could that be why she recommends using a 100 grit file on the natural nail?

May I suggest you look up www.inmnails.com and give their product a try? I use their l&p and their gel, I sell it too, because I love the ease of use, the cost and the efficiency of the product.

Just a suggestion as there are many great products on the market today.

Mely Bely - You mentioned that you wouldn't use a 100 grit file on the natural nail. What would be the lowest grit you would use on a natural nail?

I personally would not use anything coarser than a 240 grit on the natural nail.

On the natural nail, if using a hand file, I generally go with a 240. The absolute max grit I would use is 180. With my e-file I use a prepper barrel - made specifically for the natural nail.

Hi 240 for me too. any higher and you will damage the nail..

cnd, which i was taught with in school says 240 grit file (kanga file), which is what i use. However the school i attended didnt use anything other than a 180grit, so i was very very gentle with it, just a very soft touch to take off the shine - thats it.
