Hi there

Is there a way to do clean smile lines for a french manicure withouht using an airbrush?

I am newly trained in l&p and at the weekend was practising on a friend who usually goes to one of those asian salons.
I was pleased with my work, but after I spent ages painting them, my friend said she's go bak to the salon to them airbrushed.

I have to admit it did deflate my confidence a bit :cry:

good quality polish, most important. make sure you have your pinky balanced to steady your hand. i swipe across from the left side of free edge to about the middle then come back from the other side. make sure you have just the right amount of polish on your brush. to even out any patchiness i use a careful downward motion with a small amount of polish. i always use a opaque polish over the white eg. creatives negligee or tres jolie etc. couple more tips... think positive as you polish,you will have a much more steadier hand and practice lots! hth
