A book called Nail Structure and Product Chemistry 2nd Edition by Douglas D. Schoon (chemist for Creative)

I have become quite friendly with a Creative Rep on their hotline. She understood my frustration with our polish chipping problem at my salon. She sent me this amazing book. I would recommend it for ALL nail techs.

It goes into great detail about..

*Causes of all nail problems
*Causes of chipping or peeling polish
*Why toulene and formaldehyde-containing products are not a bad thing
*Commons myths
*Proper sanitation
*Of course the chemistry behind products like base and topcoat, and why others work more than others.
*And everything else under the sun youve EVER questioned!

You're right, this book is a real gem

Thanks for that.

We have been recommending this book from day one here on the salongeek site and frankly, I can't imagine any nail technician 'worth her salt' or who is passionate about her business who would not benefit from reading and learning from Doug's book.

Definitely one for everyones nail library.

Yep i agree great book to read! x
