Hi geeks, hope this is ok to post....

I'm having my first Hollywood wax this morning and im sooooo scared! I'm literally shaking!

I've been recommended a good salon etc and I'm qualified in basic waxing myself but have never had this done.

I'm just looking for some words of reassurance and wisdom!!!! I've done all the searches but its being in such a vulnerable position with a complete stranger in unfamiliar surroundings that scare me!

I want to train myself in intimate waxing eventually so need to do this!

Aaarrrghh! Help! Xxxx

its fine dont worry just relax. Its not pain free but its not that bad and its well worth it :)

No worse than having the backs of your ankles waxed (in fact many of my ladies say they would rather a Hollywood than that bit at the back of your ankles any day!).

Relax, stay calm, and remember your therapist will have seen it all before, many many times.

Good luck x

So its done...... What's the worst thing that could happen to you whilst having your first Hollywood? I realised as I was undressing that mother nature had arrived! Mortified!

The beautician was lovely tho and reassured me and it wasn't that bad!

I was slightly worried when I realised she would be using strip wax and not hot as I've read so many posts on here about which is best to use. I may be looking for another waxer in Bradford who uses hot and even better Kim lawless trained if anyone knows.

All in all I'm so glad I didn't chicken out!

Thanks for your advice.xxx

I'm glad it went well :) Don't worry about Mother Nature, I've seen a lot worse things on people's nether regions! :o

Just take this experience so that when you become well versed in waxing you will know what the newbies are going through and how to talk them down. It's mostly the fear and anticipation of it that makes the experience more painful. Ibuprofen or heck, a little bubbly won't hurt beforehand :green:

We are in brighouse and our therapist specialises in intimate waxing with hot wax :)
It's called the clinik xx
