Hi All,

Im home based and still getting my business up and running, who do I need to notify of home business?

Tax man ? (HATE HIM) LOL
The council ?

Thanks in advance for any replies!!!

If you own your own home, you need to write to your mortgage company to ask permission.
Your local council to let them no your operating hours, and how it will not effect your neighbours
Upgrade your insurance from individual to salon to cover you for damage to your property and incase client falls
Inform the tax man within three months of your business being open
Get an electrician to check your appliences, health and safety
and i think thats it
Just remember if you own your own property that if you want to claim taxes back for electric and so on you will have to pay capital gains on your premises if you sell
hope that is of help hun love jenny
