My friend and i are looking into starting our own beauty business. We have found local premises to rent for £150 a week which includes reception, bills and insurance,is this good?
We would like to know were we would go about starting the business,i.e money ,clients etc.We already have quite alot of clients waiting .I am a nursery nurse at the moment and just a bit nervous about leaving my secure job to start this business. It is something we both have always wanted to do ,just a bit scared of taking the next step.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thankyou xx

Firstly just to say that if you do a search on each of these items there is LOADS of info already here.

You will need to go to the planning office at your local council to see if you need to get change of use for the premises - usually a sui generis.

There are specialist insurance companies out there for salons- Salon Gold is a good one.

The banks will help you with the money side - sek out their small business advisor( if there are any that are still lending and haven't gone bust :rolleyes:!) . Just make sure that you have a lot of working capital to get you through the first year or so - they say that most new businesses don't see a return on their investment for 3 years.

Put together a business plan, a budget forecast etc

Good luck!
