How do you progress from a nail tech to a private/brand nail educator?

well, I only know about the CND route as I am embarking on it myself. but they would be able to take you through in more detail.

The giste of it is that you train with them to be a grand master. you do it over a period of time and they help you all the way. sweet squared are the lovely peeps to speak to if CND is your preferred route.

I dont know about other systems , so cant assist there, I am sure other lovely geeks will be along in a bit to help you further.

Best of luck !

Thanks Tigi, do you have or did you have to have any qualifications? What has been the cost for you to do it?

yes i have do have nail and beauty quals. The cost is ongoing really, go on their site for info and then give them a ring to discuss their path further. xxx

Firstly, you need to be able to produce high quality nails in both gel and acrylic. Then most companies (ours included) provide an Instructors training class - in our case this is 5 intensive days where we teach you how to teach new nail techs and also cover the company background, philosophy and product range. At the end there is usually a practical and theoretical exam.

We then have a program to develop the Instructors further, right up to Global Educator if required. CND and EZ Flow have similar schemes I believe.

if these courses were all completed to a high standard where would you be able to teach? Privately, for the company or in colleges?

You are best contacting the companies you fancy working for and asking them about the route they require,
this is the only way to get the full information, hth
