How do you busy up your day last minute?

I had a lady booked in (really good customer) for 2 hours tomorrow but her monther just got rushed into hospital so she had to cancel it. I wouldnt dream of charging her as I know she is genuine and she was in tears on the phone.

My therapist is now quite for 3 hours (she was free already for one hour).

How do you make it busy quickly? Would you do a deal just to get people in for that space?

I tend to put on facebook and twitter that i've had a last minute cancellation and the slot usually gets taken up by someone. If you're going to do a deal why not add another mini treatment rather than give a discount. For Example; comp. foot massage with an Indian Head massage. A good way of introducing clients to treatments they've not had before.

I also do a last minute offer on Facebook and Twitter. It usually works.
