How do you get glitter tips, using Shellac?

I have a client next week that has asked for glitter tips, wondering if the best way to do it is to: after curing the first colour layer, put on the colour for the tip, cure that. Then apply the glitter to the sticky layer, trying not to get any on the sticky layer of the rest of the nail!, then apply top coat.

U can do colour and top and cure as normal then wipe sticky layer then put colour on tip add glitter and cure. The glitter doesn't stick to the top coated bit this way.
