offer mini facials as part of a package, ie book a back massage and receive a free mini facial.

or book one facial get your second for half price a month later.

or do packages that are very popular and put a mini facial in as part of the package.

I've done all of the above and often get someone then making it their preferred monthly treatment.

put some posters up, or get some leaflets from your suppliers, hand them to your client with their appointment card or with their change.

get some samples and make up little bags and put a leaflet in, and give them to every client. Maybe even offer a voucher towards a half price facial if they book within a month of receiving the voucher.

Couldn't have said it better myself Ann :).

you are all fantastic! thnaks for the advice.

Hi
I promote my facials by offering a free makeover after there facial, its especially good if there going out somewhere.

Have there facial with me, then have there hair done by the stylist then back to me for their make-up.

some people just take on the offer to get tips on how to apply their make-up

or I usually offer a full body, massage, reflexology or Reiki with a free mini facial.

Or how about as your products are popular - spend £xx on products and get a free mini facial?
My partner said he saw a similar promotion at his gym recently, I was wondering whether to try this myself at my salon.

Hi - What i do is a special offer for one or two months - normally if you charge £25 or so for your facial then cut £4 off or something but make sure you make it sound like its limited availability and must be booked soon to avoid disappointment. I have also found that creating a great email advert with the special on it and a promotional code that they can use when booking helps. Send the email to all your existing clients. Maybe also get the advert printed and put in doors on give to passersby etc.HTH

I find that offering a discount on courses of facials helps although not everyone can afford to pay several hundred up front the ones that can appreciate the free facial and gift set I throw into the package and they are more inclined to buy retail when they have their treatment as they have already paid for the treatment in advance.

Otherwise to entice new clients I usually offer a 50% discount off their SECOND Facial, this way it encourages them to have a regular treatment and they are then booking in for at least two treatments.

Are you finding it hard to get the clients booked in for the facials to start with or getting repeat clientele ?

If you offer too much discount then the client will expect their next facial to be at a discounted price. Why would they want to pay full price next time?

I would recommend a skin event. Skin analysis, recommend the nimue products, get the client to do a mini facial: cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise (using hot towels) so that they can feel how the products work. Give them a little bag of goodies containing samples and product information and any other freebies you have.

I would make it professional and charge £10 for a booking fee, redeemable against any treatment or product with you.

Have a special offer at the skin event. Get your Nimue rep to come and help you promote.

This is what I did when I started 4 months ago and it really helped me.

I bought my skin scanner from Skinlogic
