Hi everyone I've had shellac on my nails for about 4 weeks. When I changed my nails a few days ago I noticed my thumb nail was split down the side. I covered it back over with shellac and it's held it together but is there anything I can do to repair it when I change then next time?

Check out the fingernailfixer' s youtube fibreglass and shellac tutorial, it shows how you fix a split nail x

Yes it's great - normal pep, adhere some silk over the split and then apply base coat, shellac, etc as normal. I find it holds really well and usually when you remove at next appointment the split has grown out sufficiently to just do a file. If you're desperate you can use tissue paper and glue or even teabags!

I have used teabag method a few times. Works a treat

Where do you buy fibreglass from? I don't think I have ever stumbled across it. X

I would pop an acrylic overlay on it and let it grow out.

You can buy fibreglass starter packs from most wholesalers :)
