I trained in college 2004, moved from surrey to hampshire and worked for a salon in chichester. i cut my time for extensions down to 1 hour 25 mins from 2 and half hours. i left due to some bullying:grr:. this put me off working for others so decided to go at it alone. i had the minimum to get me started. had some blinds for my car made up and my number plate had my business number on it. I also handed flyers out to shops, stood in the high street, friends, friends passed some on, word of mouth trough lots of mums @ school i know. i ve had about 3 calls [IN THE LAST YEAR] all fom young ones who ONLY ask how much, knowing the DODGY salons down the road do it cheeper. HELP!!!!!!!!
i'D LOVE TO DO SOME REAL TRAINIG WITH NSI AS I SO LOVE ARTY NAILS AND MY GOAL IS TO SPECIALISE IN THE FANCY NAIL ART FOR PARTIES AND WEDDINGS

business link said i need clients to raise the money the training id like but without funding to advertise how do i get clients. (NOTE; I HAVE THREE CHILDREN UNER 10 AND WOULD LIKE TO START BETWEEN SCHOOL HOURS AND NO HELP FOR CHILD CARE AS FAMILY AND FRIENDS ALL WORK FT.

Just a thought. Does your childrens' school have a newsletter that you could put a small ad in? Perhaps in the ad you could offer to donate a small percentage of your takings to the school p & f out of every booking taken from the ad. This may encourage mothers to use your service and not the cheapy down the road if they know that their children will benefit. Or does your school have a fair? Maybe you could set up on fair day and do a demonstration. Actually seeing your work first hand would be more beneficial than reading about it in a flyer
Anyway, just an idea
Cheers

Thanks for the idea but yes i have approached the school and they wer n't too impressed and said there as no room for me but are still begging for new ideas. so i thought HA! they misss out then. the other mums thought that nail painting would be a good fund raiser! There is no gazzete or the like which is why i tried spreading the word.
