Hi everyone I'am new to nail art and would like some advice on how to use shells using gel.:)

Its best to set them quite low in your gel....so in your first layer...that way they are well encased and wont get disturbed when it comes to buffing and filing to shape,

here is a pic of my mates nails with crushed shells.... http://www.salongeek.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=4649&catid=searchresults&searchid=9567

if you click on navigation...then click on gallery...then click search and type in shells....you will see lots of pics of nails with shells. HTH

thats what i do too.
i either apply a little gel and then pick some shells up on my moist brush and place/press them on to the surface or i apply gel to where i want the shells and then dip the nail into the shells , tidy them as neccessary and then cure.

then proceed making sure you cover the shells.
they smell really yucky when you file them off though:irked:
