Hollywood Lashes. I qualified 2yrs ago, they're not very popular around here (I am aware that they might be popular if I was any good at them) I've not done a huge amount of sets but the ones I have done havnt lasted that long and clients expectations are sky high, despite an initial consultation they still end up a bit 'oh' because in their minds they will have thick, luscious lashes, like caterpillars, which is not the Hollywood look in my opinion. I'm just sick of them and out of all the courses I've been on, this was probably the biggest waste of money.

Secondly, whilst I'm at it, can I just say I hate sculpting french acrylics. The amount of money I've spent on courses just to get 'good', and I'm still crap. I want to just chuck it all in to be honest.

Phew. I'm glad I got that off my chest. If anyone else would like to share their nemesis treatments, or get anything of their chests then feel free to add. Misery likes company and all. ;);)

The only thing I hate is people wanting to make appointments for some serious awesome nail art and then they chicken out, LAME-O'S.

Party lashes. When I worked in a salon if I saw them in my column for the next day the night before I would worry about them. I worried the eyelids would stick together I'd worry they wouldn't last long and because I'm not keen on the party lash look I'd worry that when they looked in the mirror they would hate them. Now I work for myself I don't Offer them.

And wedding makeup. Without blowing my own trumpet I actually feel very confident in doing makeup but brides scare the life out of me. I have sleepless nights over that too!

When I first started out I used to DREAD french polish. My very first french I actually cancelled the appointment 😣
Have you thought about retraining with a different brand? You would only need to complete a conversion course which is usually one day and a fraction of the price.
I originally trained with Hollywood lashes and I didn't think the education was comprehensive, nor the trainers particularly passionate or confident in the products. I retrained with a different brand and they became something I looked forward to.

Chin up hunny, there is a solution. You just need to find it ;) xx

My own pedicure! I actually can't stand it! But yet having a pedicure done actually makes me sick. I've had one and I was sitting with my teeth gritted and feeling sick 😬 so I just need to lump it and do my own! Don't have anything I hate doing other than other people's eyeliner as they always flinch and sorta blink 😠 lol

I hate doing French polish. Also, not good at the massage thing. It hurts, it makes it tired and I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm a hairdresser not a skin geek but I HATE doing hair up. Cuts, colours, other styling etc I love. Just hair ups i can't seem to get into!x

I do hair and beauty and I also hate hair up!! Give me a bowl and a brush any day!! There's nothing I don't like in beauty really lol xx

Nails. Clients staring intensely at them and I always felt they were judging. Then they'd fidget and get fluff on them or hit them off the lamp and they'd come out cured with a bit missing! Stopped doing nails and I'm much happier now!

Wow that's very honest. I don't enjoy doing nails either. I get so nervous when it comes to painting. I'm getting better with shellac, but regular polish omg! Thing is nails is my most popular treatment but I am looking to add more treatments - reflexology & some kind of massage with lava shells or hot rocks. I love facials & crystal therapy. Find when the treatment is a real visual one that's when therapists are most critical of ourselves & clients are of us too! Was thinking of doin lashes but nails has put me off for the above reasons! Diana -Jane, is there another therapist that now does the nail clients or do u just not offer that service? X

I'm self employed in a hairdressers so I just stopped offering it and specialise in Brazilian waxing now. Still do some massage because I enjoy it but I'm 99% waxing and it was a good decision. The salon owner is advertising for a nail tech now. I didn't have many nail clients anyway, probably cause I didn't push it. X
