Hey everyone,
was just wondering if anyone can help me. Since being very young (iam now 21) or at least as far back as I can remember i have had a problem with my nails n the surrounding skin. The only way to describe it is that they split, discolour and never grow (especially my toe nails) the skin around them seems to just decay for want of a better word. I have had this checked out with the doctor who advised a treatment for a fungal infection but none of these worked. I have since been to a 'meeting' in which over 30 dermatologists peered n poked at me but to no avail. They took a sample of the nail n the only thing they established was that there was no fungal infection. No treatment was offered. This is a hugely embarrasing problem for me so much so that i avoid wearing open toe shoes or sandals which is really hard in warm weather or on holiday. I have no solution. As far as i know nail extentions (acrylic and the new light ones) are not an option for toe nails n this would be rather embarrasing to have done anyway. Does anyone know of any solution for me? Is there a surgical route I could try or am i just best buyin a nail set n tryin it out myself? Any answers would be greatly appriciated!!!
Thank You
