Hi,
I have a salon which we use IBD gel we have done for 3 years. About a year and a half ago we had a lady who had a allergic reaction and had to have them taken off, we thought it was because she was on new medication. Then we had no one else, then about 9 months ago we have had a total of 10 customers (all of which are regulars, having there nails done with us for over a year) with the same reactions. Swollen cuticles, itching and skin peeling. This has become a very serious problem for us now as its effecting us, we have contacted IBD direct and the lady came out to us and confirmed everything we are doing is correct. Any help would be appreciated, as we are now looking to change all our products.
Thanks

Hiya ... sorry to hear this, Have you changed anything else in recent times...new adheisive...primer...anything..?

Wow, that's very strange, like angie said, might it be one of your other products? Did you change where you get your towels washed even? Clutching at straws, sorry. If it helps any, iv been using IBD for a couple of years and have never had any reactions, sorry to hear your have trouble.

It could also be the way you are sanitising your files or equipment, this causing the reaction or reacting with the products? Have you changed the way you sanitise or the product you use to do so?

Hi, thanks for your replys.
We havent changed anything at the salon. We use exactly the same products etc what we used 3 years ago. We are really banging our head up a brick wall. Having researched this on the net it seems alot of people are getting this and it only seems to be with IBD. Does anyone agree? And have any suggestions?
We have been using NSI gel today to see how we go as we cant risk anymore, however we have always like IBD!
